Accessibility
Effective June 12, 2026
A movement for full participation has to be usable by everyone. We build this site to be read, navigated, and joined by people using assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We treat that as a floor, not a finish line, and we test against it as the site grows.
What we do
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page.
- Text alternatives for images and chart descriptions for data visualizations.
- Keyboard access to interactive elements, including the register form.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting: animations stop when you ask your system to limit motion.
- Color choices checked for contrast against the AA threshold.
Known issues
We are a founding-year project and not yet perfect. Some interactive charts are easier to read by sight than by screen reader, and we are adding text equivalents. Some older pages predate our current standard and are being updated. If something blocks you, tell us and we will prioritize it.
Report a problem
Email [email protected] with the word "Accessibility" in the subject line. Describe the page and what blocked you, and we will respond and work to fix it.
